Chic Critique Cover Contest Submission [Orange County Glamour Photography, Fullerton Senior Photographer]

It's that time again! Time for the cover contest over at the fabulous Chic Critique Magazine! If you love fashion and photography you really need to go check out this magazine.

The theme is "natural" and this is my submission. I loved the natural setting (yes, even in Southern CA there are little spots) and her natural smile.

Wish me luck! I'm going to need it with all of the other beautiful submissions I'm up against. :)

Santiago's Lifestyle Newborn Session {Long Beach, CA Lifestyle Newborn Photography}

I had the pleasure of meeting little one month old Santiago and his sweet parents a few weeks ago. What a blessing this little guy is! They wanted a mostly lifestyle session but a few posed shots if he was up to it. For such a big guy he was a trooper and let me pose him on the beanbag.

Rock the Shot January Photo Contest

Rock the Shot Forum is hosting a fabulous contest for January and the theme is "Favorite shot of 2013".  It is sooooo hard to choose just one favorite but I'm very proud of this image and love the feeling it portrays. I feel like it holds the essence of my daughter so perfectly.


This is actually a composite, one of my first. After cloning out her Grandmother who was tickling her, I overlayed the sky and bent the horizon line a bit. I processed it with some actions from Sea Salt Paperie's Wonderlust collection.


Shot on a Canon 5D Classic using a 50mm 1.4.  Settings were ISO 100, 1/1250s, f/1.4.
